Last Day at Work

Saturday, July 31st, 2010

… the title says it all. I’m honestly, really, really really really super x99999 sad that I have to go. It was an awesome 7 months working here at my office. It wasn’t just awesome, but great, exciting, and fabulous. Thank you all for making my temporary work life so great. And thank you all so so so much for teaching me so many things and for giving me such a huge exposure on everything.

There are lots of memories that I will definitely not forget — going for the first staff chalet in my life, taking a 5 minute car trip to Jalan Eunos, going to the sites and outlets, and even simply talking over lunch. There are so many people that I will miss… and I’ll definitely miss my desk at the office too. I came in the office today with Yilin and we started to prepare our gifts for our fellow colleagues:

Very cute right! This was thought up by me and Yilin hehehe! I’m secretly very proud of both of us for thinking up of this! Though by the time we distributed them, the pancakes were cold already. :( Anyway it’s the thought that counts right! So I spent the day trying to clear my outstanding work, talking to people, and nailing down some concepts which I was confused at. The time flew and it was already 1pm by then. Said goodbye to the 4th floor people at 12.30pm, followed by the 5th floor people. I cried a fair lot at the fifth floor when I was about to go… meh. Sigh.

Really good memories over here. I don’t feel like writing anymore because I think I will break down and cry… Will try to come back more often if I can! And eat ba chor mee. Yum. :)

(Worked for 7 months from 28th December 2009 till 31st July 2010.  Awesome people.)

Something inspirational that I decided to put in my cubicle at work:

Found this on one of my friend’s Facebook wall and I think it’s worth sharing. Sometimes we chase so hard for things that we forget about what we truly want most. This passage really hit me hard and now it serves as a daily reminder to still live my life to the fullest — despite my hectic workload. :)

Btw, had a rather rough day today, so I’m hoping for a better day tomorrow… and I hope that the day after would be even better. Urgh! I heard NUS only gives 3 days for applications so yeah I have to make my decision really quick. Hopefully everything will turn out fine and well and I won’t be disappointed.

Law Interview

Friday, February 26th, 2010

I’m going for my law interview tomorrow! Really hope that everything goes smoothly! :) Hopefully I can get into law school and learn more about corporate law.

Anyway, this week was a really hectic week but I enjoyed it! Thanks so much to my mentors for making my working experience so much more different! Can’t wait for the weeks to come and I can’t wait to see what new things I can pick up at work. I happened to be walking around and saw a nice angle for the Fragrance Hotel outlet near Telok Blangah or the foot of Mount Faber; hence I decided to take a photo of it. The outlet’s name is called Fragrance Hotel – Royal and apparently it’s one of the newest hotels (according to the Fragrance Hotel website). Itchy hands me decided to use my 14-24 to take a snapshot of it and here’s the result!

I love the colours! And the angle! Mweehee! This is a good use of my 14-24 so at least it isn’t a white elephant. Yayness! Camwhoring with the 14-24 is superb too by the way, but I haven’t found the right peeps to test that element yet. Derrick isn’t very good at camwhoring, so yes, those shots will have to wait.

Ah ah ah I hope I excel tomorrow and get into law school! Will pray really hard that everything turns out fine in the end!
